Meet the ownerThank you for your interest in Better Living RetreatMy name is Cornelia Brujban and I am the owner/operator of Better Living Retreat Adult Family Home. I am a licensed professional health care provider with over 13 years of experience in owning/managing adult family homes.I am a Certified Registered Nursing Assistant with the state of Washington, I have successfully completed the Mental Health and Dementia caregiving specialty training and I also attended several seminars for professionals involved in providing palliative and hospice care. I also completed a Residential Care Administration Program approved by DSHS, that covers essential topics like resident's rights, business planning and marketing, human resources, working with special needs population, nutrition and food services, fire and safety procedures and other important topics. I also have an active, professional license in the field of skin care and esthetics, and a certificate of proficiency in manual lymphatic drainage from Euro-Institute of skin care. On a personal level, as an active member of the AFH Association of Washington, in addition to being involved with various community service programs for geriatric care, I am a strong advocate for residents rights. I maintain pride in my profession, participating in on-going education and I am always by my residents's side to help voice their grievances. At the end of the day, the greatest satisfaction I strive for is that - thru my skills and dedication - to be able to make a positive difference in someone else's life. |
